After signing in, you'll be taken to your Account Recovery Settings, where you can set up or update how you verify your identity in the future (see Setting Up Account Recovery).
Setting Up Account Recovery
Account Recovery Settings determine how you'll verify your identity if you ever need to use the Forgot Password or Reset Password features. Setting these up in advance is the best way to avoid getting locked out of your account.
From this screen, you can configure:
- Security Questions* — Choose and answer three questions. Answers should be easy for you to remember but hard for others to guess. (Required)
- Email Recovery* — Add a personal email address (not your @stmarytx.edu or @mail.stmarytx.edu address) to receive verification codes. (Required)
- Phone Recovery — Add a 10-digit mobile number to receive verification codes via text.
- YubiKey Recovery, Authenticator, Mobile Push, and Passkeys — Additional optional verification methods.
