This document provides step-by-step guidance for Domain Administrators and authorized personnel to access Rave Alert directly if Single Sign-On (SSO) is unavailable. These instructions should be used only in the event of an SSO outage affecting standard login via the University’s gateway.
Accessing Rave Alert Without SSO
Step 1: Navigate to Emergency Login
Step 2: Enter Direct Credentials
Step 3: If you have forgotten your password:

Click on “Forgot your password?” on the login screen.

Follow the on-screen instructions to reset it.

Once authenticated, you will be taken directly to the Rave administrator dashboard.
⚠️ Note: If you have never set up your direct credentials, please reset your credentials.
Emergency / Severity-1 Hotline Protocol
The 24x7x365 Emergency hotline is 888-605-7163. Please note that this number should ONLY be used by Administrators and SHOULD ONLY BE USED IN CASE OF AN EMERGENCY.
If you cannot log in:

Call the Emergency Communications Hotline.

Provide your full name, department, and role.

The incident response contact will verify your identity and escalate to a system administrator.
Important Reminders

These credentials must be set up ahead of time during training or onboarding.

Store your password in a secure password manager—do not email or write it down.

Domain Admins should test their emergency login regularly to ensure access readiness.

In case of any issues with emergency access, notify IT Security as soon as possible after the outage.

All Domain Admins are responsible for maintaining their own Rave emergency credentials.

Periodic access tests should be logged as part of the department’s business continuity procedures.
