To install the VPN client follow the steps outlined below:
- Open a web browser
- Go to www.fortinet.com/support/product-downloads
- Scroll down and click FortiClient VPN Only on the right side of the screen.
- Under FortiClient VPN you will select the version appropriate for your computer and install it.
- If prompted, the only utility you need is the FortiClient. You do not need the virus protection or anything else that might be mentioned.
- Once the software is installed (it sometimes takes a few minutes to install), open the client using the shortcut on your desktop.
- Accept acknowledgement receipt.
- Click the link to configure the VPN.
- With the exception of Connection Name and Description, enter the information exactly as show in the picture.
- After you are done entering the information, click save.
- To log into the VPN, use the same username and password you use to log into Gateway.
- At 40% accept the security certificate. If you do not see it, check your task bar for a second FortiClient window.
- Then, you will be prompted to insert your token which you will retrieve from your FortiToken Mobile application.
