Body
- Open System Settings > Printers & Scanners, then click Add Printer, Scanner, or Fax…

- Right-click (Control-click) the toolbar area at the top of the window, then select Customize Toolbar… from the menu that appears.

- In the customize panel, drag the Advanced icon into the toolbar area at the top of the window.
Find the Advanced icon in the toolbar customization.
Drag the Advanced icon into the toolbar, then click Done.
- Click the new Advanced tab, then fill in the following fields and click Add:
Type: Windows printer via spoolss
Device: Another Device
URL: smb://papercut-1/STMU
Name: A friendly, identifiable printer name (for example, Sharp)
Use: Select the SHARP BP-70C45 PPD driver from the list.

- When prompted, enter the user's Gateway username and password. Check “Remember this password in my keychain” so the user isn't prompted on every print job.

- The printer now appears in Printers & Scanners with an Idle status, ready to use.

Install the PaperCut Client
The PaperCut client (PCClient) shows the user's print balance and releases held print jobs at the device. Install it after the printer has been added.
- Open Finder, then select Go > Connect to Server.
- Enter smb://<print-server>/pcclient (for example, smb://papercut-1/pcclient). If prompted, sign in with the user's Gateway username and password.
- Drag the PCClient application into the local Applications folder.
- Open System Settings > General > Login Items & Extensions.
- Under Open at Login, click the + button and add the PCClient application so it launches automatically.
- Restart the Mac and confirm PCClient starts automatically and shows the user's balance.
Troubleshooting
- Make sure the computer joined to the St. Mary's domain.
