VPN Setup Instructions

To install the VPN client follow the steps outlined below:

• Open a web browser
• Go to  www.fortinet.com/support/product-downloads
• Scroll down and click FortiClient VPN Only on the right side of the screen.
• Under FortiClient VPN you will select the version appropriate for your computer and install it.
• If prompted, the only utility you need is the FortiClient.  You do not need the virus protection or anything else that might be mentioned.
• Once the software is installed (it sometimes takes a few minutes to install), open the client using the shortcut on your desktop.
• Accept acknowledgement receipt.
• Click the link to configure the VPN.  
• With the exception of Connection Name and Description, enter the information exactly as show in the picture.  
• After you are done entering the information, click save.
• To log into the VPN, use the same username and password you use to log into Gateway.
• At 40% accept the security certificate. If you do not see it, check your task bar for a second FortiClient window. 
• Then, you will be prompted to insert your token which you will retrieve from your FortiToken Mobile application.
